Kent Gaertner

Joshua Greene was elected Chair of the DuPage County Bar Association Bankruptcy Committee as well as appointed to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of Illinois Bankruptcy Liaison Committee.

Effective June 3, 2010, Kent Gaertner will be the President of the Dupage County Bar Foundation. The DCBF is a charitable arm of the DCBA. The Foundation raises money to give grants to various charitable organizations involved in the justice system in DuPage County Illinois and give scholarships to deserving law students in financial need.

Additionally, effective June 3, 2010, Kent Gaertner will be the Chairman of the DuPage County Bar Association Judiciary Committee. The Committee investigates, interviews and makes recommendations regarding candidates for judicial office in DuPage County, Illinois. The recommendations are published in the media and sent to the Chief Judge of the 18th Judicial Circuit.

Mr. Gaertner is also the Chairman of the Bankruptcy Sub-Committee of the Illinois State Bar Association Section Council on Commercial, Banking and Bankruptcy Law.


David Brown David Brown was recently honored by the United States Trustee Region 11 for 25 years of service as a Trustee in Region 11.

Congratulations! DuPage County Bar Association President Kent Gaertner made a motion before the U.S. Supreme Court on March 8, 2010 to have attending members of DCBA admitted to practice before the Supreme Court. Tom was there too.

Tom Springer American Bankruptcy Institute Speaker: Tom Springer was a panel speaker on post BAPCPA options and case-law at the recent U.S. Trustee annual conference in Chicago.

Robert Katz Welcome: Robert B. Katz is now Of Counsel to Springer Brown. Mr. Katz is a Chapter 7 Trustee for the Northern District of Illinois. Mr. Katz brings over 26 years of legal experience to the firm. Despite the fact that he is a former IRS Agent and a Phillies fan, we welcome him to the firm.
